Upper Goulburn Wineries and Vineyards

The Upper Goulburn wine region towers above in the Victorian High Country. Its natural beauty, high quality cool climate wines, beautiful mountain scenery and close proximity to ski fields make it one of Australia's favourite wine regions.

The wine region starts where the Goulburn River begins high in the snow capped Alps. It takes in the whole upper catchment as well as Broken Ridge's catchment. The region also encompasses Lake Eildon with its ski slope back drop.

The vineyards meet the snowline at 800m and enjoy cool temperatures and low humidity. These temperate conditions produce high quality sparkling wine, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Merlot, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz. Enjoy one of these fine wines amid Banjo Patterson land with some of the regions wonderful produce. In March the region displays its goods at the High Country Harvest Festival.
